This is a 3 digit number found at the bottom of your cheque and identifies the financial institution where your account is held.

This is a 5-digit number found at the bottom of your cheque and identifies the branch where your account is held. Also referred to as Transit number.

This number is found at the bottom of your cheques, to the right of the institution number.

This is a 5 digit number fround to the right of the branch address and identifies the branch where your account is held. This number may be different from the branch number at the bottom of your cheque.

Basic Cheque Customization Features

If you require multiple copies of your cheque, select 2 / duplicates or more parts.

This is the background colour of your cheques.

A choice of 1 or 2 signature lines.

A title (such as President or Treasurer) can be printed below Signature line 1.

A title (such as President or Treasurer) can be printed below Signature line 2.

The type of account (e.g. Operating Account, Trust Account) appears above the signature line(s) and can be used to identify the purpose of your account.

Sequential cheque numbering printed on the stub(s) is an option if your software program does not allow for this output.

Each cheque in an order is sequentially numbered. The default starting number for an order is 1 (for a new order). Alternatively, you may select any starting number between 1 and 999 (for personal cheques) or 1 and 999999 (for business manual and computer cheques). Note that sequential numbering is mandatory in the MICR line of the cheque.

You can choose to have your personalization information (company name, address, phone number, etc.) printed left-justified in the upper left corner or centre-justified in the upper middle area of your cheque.

Sequential numbering on your cheques or forms is an option if your software program does not allow for this output. It will appear on the top right corner of the your cheques or forms.

Many businesses like to add their company's logo to their cheques, forms or envelopes. Alternatively, D+H offers a collection of stock logos from which you may choose. In both cases, the logo will appear in the upper left corner of your product.

To ensure an optimal result, the custom logo you upload must meet the following specifications:
1. Maximum file size of your logo image that can be uploaded is 2 MB (megabytes).
2. We can only accept EPS (preferred format), AI (preferred format), TIF and JPEG file formats.
3. Minimum resolution is 300 DPI.
4. Logo image cannot exceed a 3:1 aspect ratio (height to width or width to height).
5. Logo image cannot be smaller than 1/2 inch or larger than 8 inches (height or width).

Cheque Fraud Protection / Advancement Program – Advances funds within 72 hours. 

In the event of fraud, the Cheque Fraud Protection/Advancement Program advances funds within 72 hours, to a maximum of $25,000 for all cheques, regardless of the number of cheques. A proof is a black and white image of your cheque, displaying the information being printed as well as the line work. A proof allows you to confirm that the information is correct prior to the order being produced.

Note: If you request a proof, we will not produce your order until we receive your approval. This may cause a slight delay in you receiving your order. Express delivery is not available with this option.

For U.S. dollar accounts - The words U.S. FUNDS will be included on your cheques along with a transaction code 45 (which appears in the MICR line). Transaction code 45 is a mandatory requirement from Payments Canada for cheques written on a U.S. dollar account.
